Simrix Monitor is billed per workspace. Every plan includes a monthly run allowance — the meter — plus ceilings on how many sites and monitors you can have and how often they can run.
Plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Runs / month | Sites | Monitors | Fastest schedule |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Annual billing is ten months for the price of twelve. All plans include team management, the audit log, usage insights, notifications, and AI failure summaries. Pro and Agency add custom roles.
How runs are counted
One run is one execution of one monitor — scheduled or manual, passed or failed. A monitor running every 15 minutes uses about 2,900 runs a month; every hour, about 730; daily, about 30. Frequency is by far the biggest lever on usage, so set it to what the page actually needs. When you create a monitor, the setup form shows the estimated monthly cost for the frequency you've chosen.
The usage bar under Account → Usage shows runs used this month, the allowance, and a projection for the rest of the month.
When you hit the allowance
Monitoring stops when the workspace has used its included runs for the month — scheduled runs pause and Run Now returns Monthly run limit reached. Nothing is deleted; runs resume at the start of the next billing month or as soon as you upgrade. You'll get usage-warning emails on the way there (see Alerts and notifications).
Free trial
New workspaces start on a 7-day Starter trial with no card required. When the trial ends, the workspace enters a grace period: monitoring continues for 7 more days while you choose a plan, then the workspace becomes restricted (existing data stays visible, but scheduled runs stop and new monitors can't be created) until a subscription is active.
Upgrading or choosing a plan
Go to Account → Billing (or Pricing) and choose a plan. Checkout runs on Stripe; Simrix never sees your card number. The plan activates as soon as payment succeeds, and the new allowance and ceilings apply immediately.
Only the workspace Owner can change billing. Admins and members can see billing status but not change it.
Changing plan, updating your card, cancelling
Account → Billing has two buttons:
- Update payment method opens Stripe's billing portal for cards and billing details.
- Manage subscription opens the portal where you can switch plan, switch between monthly and annual, or cancel.
Cancelling keeps the subscription active until the end of the period you've already paid for — the Billing page shows the date it ends. You can resume from the same portal any time before then. There is no immediate-cancel option; unused time isn't refunded.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the workspace is marked past due and you'll see a banner asking you to update the payment method. Monitoring keeps running for 7 days. After that the workspace becomes restricted — scheduled runs stop and new monitors can't be created — until the payment goes through. Update the card under Account → Billing → Update payment method; Stripe retries automatically.
Invoices
Recent invoices appear at the bottom of Account → Billing, with links to Stripe's hosted invoice and receipt. Invoices are also emailed to the billing email on the Stripe customer.
