Simrix Monitor as a Visualping alternative

Simrix Monitor and Visualping both watch websites so you hear about a problem before your customers do. This page sets out what each one is for, what Simrix Monitor does and does not do, and which of the two fits the job you actually have.

When should you choose Simrix Monitor?

  • You need to know a journey still works, not just that a page looks the same. A checkout can break while every pixel on the product page is unchanged.
  • You want the evidence in the alert: a screenshot taken at the moment of failure and a plain-English summary, rather than a diff to interpret.
  • You want page change monitoring and journey monitoring in one place, on one bill, rather than running two tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can Simrix Monitor watch a page for changes the way a change detection tool does?

Yes. Change monitors take a baseline, re-check on your schedule, and compare text and rendered pixels. Ad slots are hidden and cookie banners dismissed before capture, and small edits fall under the threshold, so a rotating ad does not alert you.

What does Simrix Monitor do that a page-comparison tool does not?

It performs the journey. A check opens a real browser, clicks add to cart, and confirms the cart and checkout pages actually open. A page that looks identical can still have a button that stopped working.

Can I run both tools at once?

Yes. Nothing is installed on your site and checks run from outside, so there is no conflict with any other monitoring you already have.
