Simrix Monitor as a Checkly alternative

Simrix Monitor and Checkly both watch websites so you hear about a problem before your customers do. This page sets out what each one is for, what Simrix Monitor does and does not do, and which of the two fits the job you actually have.

When should you choose Simrix Monitor?

  • Nobody on your team writes or maintains test code. You pick a template, point it at a page, and choose what should be true at the end.
  • The person who needs the alert is not an engineer. The alert carries a screenshot and a plain-English summary rather than a stack trace.
  • You want page change monitoring and competitor watching alongside journey checks, without running a second tool for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Simrix Monitor require writing code?

No. You pick a template, point it at a page, and choose what should be true when the journey finishes. There is nothing to install on your site and no script to maintain as the site changes.

Can Simrix Monitor check an API endpoint?

No. Checks drive a real browser through pages a person would visit. There is no API or HTTP-assertion check type today.

Can a check sign in first?

No. Every check starts from a logged-out browser and there is nowhere to store credentials. A monitor can confirm your sign-in page loads and the form is present, which catches a deploy that breaks it.
