Simrix Monitor as a UptimeRobot alternative

Simrix Monitor and UptimeRobot both watch websites so you hear about a problem before your customers do. This page sets out what each one is for, what Simrix Monitor does and does not do, and which of the two fits the job you actually have.

When should you choose Simrix Monitor?

  • An uptime ping cannot tell you the add-to-cart button stopped working. A real browser journey can, because it clicks it.
  • When something breaks you get a screenshot of the page at that moment and a plain-English summary, rather than a status code.
  • Change detection and competitor watching are included, so a silent price or template change reaches you too.

Frequently asked questions

Why would I pay for this when uptime monitoring is free?

Because they answer different questions. An uptime check confirms the server responded. A store with a broken add-to-cart button passes that check every time while taking no orders. If a broken journey costs you more than the subscription, the trade is easy; if it does not, free uptime monitoring is genuinely the right tool.

Does Simrix Monitor have a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan covers a small number of monitors on one site with email alerts, and needs no card. The pricing page shows the exact limits.

Can I use both together?

Yes, and many do. An uptime tool is better at telling you the whole site is down; a journey check is better at telling you one thing inside it stopped working.
